Seeds of Diversity
The Hands-On Synthetic Biology demonstration, allowing visitors to build genetic models via multicoloured plastic "DNA" components with embedded RFID or barcodes, will take place as part of the 'Seeds of Diversity' event at the Cambridge Science Festival. Seeds and spores provide the huge diversity of plants we see around us. This event shows how they grow and provide food and fuel. Suitable for the whole family, with competitions and interactive displays from the University of Cambridge Department of Plant Sciences, the University Botanic Garden and the National Institute of Agricultural Botany.
